BJG Community Justice Network is the brainchild of one individual, Mr. Bruno AJ Grenon, which due to a series of unfortunate events, disability support benefits falling behind the financial reality of Ontario, where rents for one bedrooms in even the worst areas of Cornwall, Ontario, his hometown, are 1,500.00$ or more, yet the Ford Government would expect you to get a market value rental unit when our shelter portion of our benefits is... are you ready for this they are capped at 582.00$ when was the last time anyone paid this much for a 1 bedroom. I'll tell you, wasn't pre-covid 19 in 2019, wasn't in 2017 or even 2014 no it was in 2010 when for the last time someone could afford rent at that amount. And back then, the shelter portion was lower than today, so even then they had started to lag behing though not as much as what we are seeing today. In 2022, faced with the prospect of either rent or food, Mr. Grenon choose food, which again penalized him because when you are homelesss you lose the shelter protion of your rent, so if you figured well i'll rent a hotel room for a few days say a week or 2 so I am not homeless all the time nope can't do that cause you now only have 600-800$ to live on so you can forget anything else but food since eating when you live in a makeshift encampment is an exercise in Fast Food or no food! Because you are not allowed to have any cooking appliances, yep not only are you homeless because you can't afford a place to live but now the city doesn't want you to cook while you are on the street further eroding your finances because to have a decent meal you need to eat at a fast food restaurant. After 2 years living on chouches, in tents and at a local Coffee shop, where yes he paid his way buying food and coffee when he stayed there, and though he did at times fall asleep he was respectful to wake up before people would come in in the morning and he helped the store staff cleasn up after the not so clean homeless trying to keep warm, tried his best to keep them to a bare minimum of respect and unfortunately, his efforts did not stop the place from closing at night becasuse not all of the people that werEmbracing the use of technology is essential in today’s fast-paced world, especially when it comes to enhancing productivity and efficiency. By integrating innovative tools into our daily routines, we can streamline complex tasks, reduce human error, and ultimately achieve better results in less time.
